I have a potato peeler just like this. it was my moms and I've had and used it for 26 years and used it today. I love this peeler. I didn't know what the little side blade was for is what brought me to your page, so I could find out. on the handle of mine it says Zena-Swiss made and a model number, i think REX is a brand name? can you tell me how I can find out how old my peeler is?
Zena is the manufacturer. REX is the model. There is also a STAR version that's similar. It would be tough to know the exact age because the design has been the same for many years.
