Clean Your Kitchen Cabinets The Easy Way

The kitchen is one of the dirtiest rooms in our homes. Because it is usually a high traffic area that gets daily use, kitchens get dirtier, faster than other areas of the home. Kitchen cabinets are often the dirtiest area of the kitchen because we are often afraid to clean cabinets for fear of ruining them. Kitchen cabinets can get really dirty over time though, if they are left unattended. Everything that comes in contact with them, or that is in the air in your kitchen builds-up over time and causes your cabinets to look dull, dingy and old. Grease, food particles, smoke, moisture, finger prints, grime, smudges and more are all found on the face of cabinets, with the bulk of it being found on handles and other high contact areas. In most cases, if your cabinets are starting to look bad, a good cleaning is all they need.

Normal Household Cleaners

Conventional household cleaners are usually not the best choice when cleaning your cabinets. They often don’t work as good as you would like them to, and sometimes don’t work at all. When they do work, you are still left with a sticky residue due to the chemicals in those cleaners. Your cabinets will sometimes look clean, but this residue actually attracts dirt and the stickyness causes it build-up faster. You will actually have to clean your cabinets sooner than if you used a cleaner that leaves no residue. These chemicals can also be dangerous for the cabinet surface, as well as hazardous to your health.

We don’t really think about these chemicals because they are supposed to be good and clean is better than dirty. The practice of spraying a bunch of chemicals all over the room where we prepare food and store all of our cups and plates can’t be too healthy though. This is why it is so beneficial to use a chemical-free cleaner in the kitchen. You won’t have to worry about damaging your cabinets or jeopardizing your health if you use an all-natural cleaner like Quick’n Brite.

Cleaning Kitchen Cabinets

Cleaning kitchen cabinets can be a quick and easy job, but many people make it harder than it has to be. One rule of thumb is that the longer you wait to do it the more time it will take to complete. All that dirt will pile up over time if you let it. The main problem, though, is the grease. This sticky substance is like the glue that holds all of the other dirt and grime together and makes it so hard for you to remove. This is why the cleaning product you use is so important. You will want to use a good degreaser, but you will also want to be careful it won’t ruin the finish on your cabinets. This is why Quick n Brite is so good for cleaning your kitchen cabinets.

Quick n Brite is a powerful de-greaser and is favored among mechanics restaurateurs and others for just this reason. Since it’s an enzyme cleaner, it cuts through the grease and grime, and then breaks it apart so it is easy to remove. Even industrial grease stains on clothing are no match for Quick n Brite, so a little kitchen grease is no problem. It is safe to use on any cabinet. It doesn’t matter if yours are painted or stained, metal or wood, this natural cleaner is safe to use, and it won’t harm the surface, or mar the finish.

  1. Just spray it on using a heavy, all purpose solution and then wipe clean with a dry terry cloth towel.
  2. For excessive build-up, let the cleaner sit for 5-10 minutes before wiping.
  3. For extreme greasy build-up, use the paste full strength.
  4. Apply the paste using a circular motion and then let it sit for about ten minutes.
  5. Once it has sat, just wipe the area clean with a dry terry cloth towel.

Quick n Brite is a concentrated cleaner so you only use as much as the job calls for. It is all natural and non toxic. There are no chemicals in Quick n Brite so it is safe to use around children and pets. You don’t have to worry about chemical reactions with your cabinet’s finish when you use it either. A totally safe cleaner that actually does a better job than conventional cleaners. Stop making the job of cleaning your cabinets so hard, and try Quick’n Brite. You will be amazed at how well it works, and how easy it is to use.

Keep your Cabinets Clean

To keep your cabinets looking good in between cleanings or for light build-up, use microfiber. All you need is water to clean 98% of all dirt, dust and micro particles from the surface of your cabinets. These cloths work great for smudges, finger prints, dirt, grime and more.

  1. Just get the microfiber cloth wet under warm water, and then wring it out until it is just damp.
  2. Once damp, just wipe your cabinets clean with less effort than you ever thought possible.
  3. These cloths are so easy to use and once you finish the cabinets, you can move straight to tables, shelves, the fridge and more without ever replenishing any cleaner, or throwing away any paper towels.

The unique design of the microfiber material is what makes these cloths so good. The tiny hooks and loops remove and hold even the smallest dirt particles, without ever scratching the surface. Your cabinets will be clean, residue-free and polished when you use microfiber. These cloths work great for light cleaning of cabinet, or for keeping clean cabinets looking good for longer.

  • Excellent article!! I've used Quick 'n Brite before and it works very well. I also recommend it to customres of mine when they ask for the best ways to keep cabinets clean.

Of course - I also explain to them it's not somethign you shouold do once every 5 years. The product can only do so much. If you regularly clean your cabinets (like you clean any other part of the home) - they'll stay beautiful for years to come.

    Best Wishes!

  • I use microfiber for all of my kitchen cabinets and it really works great. I've never used Quick 'n Brite before, but maybe I should test it out!

    • Yep. Microfiber is amazing. The combination of microfiber and Quick n Brite is unbeatable though. It makes cleaning so quick and easy, plus it will leave your cabinets looking cleaner than ever. Try it and you wont be disappointed.

  • I try to clean the cabinet regularly, when they look dirty. I find it a lot easier to clean them one at a time, perhaps one a day. It makes it feel like it's not a huge chore versus if you were to clean them all at once.

    • Good advice. Thanks for the comment. Working in small steps usually helps to make it seem easier.

    • You go with that... The blue stuff is better left for windows though. Not sure why you would want to spray toxic stuff around your food, but to each their own. Happy cleaning!

  • Combination of Quick n Brite and microfiber is simple amazing; with this formula I am not worried about even those toughest dirt’s on kitchen cabinets….

    • Quite right. Nothing really better to cut through that sticky greasy build-up in the kitchen. Got to love that it is also non-toxic, so completely safe for use around food!

    • No. It will not. Your finish is safe. It will take off all of the grease, dirt and food residue that is coating the finish, but it will not harm what you want to remain.
