Cleaning Granite Tile Floors

Question
Hi, I’m looking for cleaning products for granite tile floors. Please advise on the product and application method.

Answer

The best way to mop any hard floor is with a microfiber mop [1]. It is especially great for granite because it is low water and no additional chemicals are necessary. Just water and microfiber remove 99% of all dirt, dust, germs and bacteria from your floors. The pads are reusable and with a sturdy steel telescoping handle and rugged mop head, this mop will last longer than any other you have ever owned. Just pop the pad in the wash, launder and reuse. To pretreat extra dirty areas or for high traffic spots use a solution of three tablespoons of quick n brite [2]in a quart spray bottle. Just hit these areas first with the spray solution, and they will come clean with ease when you mop over them. The best way to sweep floors is with a rubber broom [3]. They will never scratch or mar a delicate surface, yet are tough enough for any chore. For pet owners they are a must have because they work so well on pet hair, even on carpet. With these tools at your disposal, the chore of cleaning the floor is simple. The right tool makes the job easier, and with a chemical-free cleaning method, you can feel good about not harming the environment and leaving your home safe for children, pets and everyone else.

Hope this helps.

Different flooring surfaces require a specific type of cleaning process. Using the wrong method and formula for your specific flooring material can eventually ruin the floor. The key to minimizing the need for cleaning formulas for green flooring is good regular maintenance. Dirt on green floors can abrade the surface making the floor even harder to clean.
